An air raid alert was previously issued in the city, and flight restrictions were imposed. The Crimean Wind monitoring group reported a fire at Air Defense Military Unit No. 03110 in the Sirius federal territory near Sochi.

According to the military portal “Military ,” the air defense position was attacked by attack drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“A month earlier, an air defense system hit and subsequent missile detonation were also recorded in this area. The target was the Russian S-300 air defense system,” the article states. Analysts added that Ukrainian drones struck both the launcher itself and the area housing additional components of the system.

Then, Ukrainian drones launched combined strikes against Sochi’s oil infrastructure, specifically the Rosneft and Lukoil-Yugnaftoprodukt oil depots. Satellite imagery shows that six storage tanks were destroyed at the Rosneft depot, and three more were destroyed or damaged at the Lukoil-Yugnaftoprodukt facility.
