The earnings of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company in 2023 amounted to UAH 719 million – this is a record in the entire history of the enterprise.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that the shipping company transferred UAH 140 million to the state budget, thus fully fulfilling its obligations to the state.

In addition, the enterprise’s profit amounted to 216 million hryvnia, which allowed it to pay off all debts, expand port facilities and begin modernizing the fleet.

“This result became possible mainly thanks to a single logistics service – combining freight with transshipment in Ukraine and Constanta. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there has been a high demand for river transport, which occurs without intermediaries at market prices. The procurement system was also structured and a large number of anti-corruption measures were carried out,” the Ministry noted.
