Another S-400 SAM System Likely to Destroy In Result of Ukraine’s Missile Strike on russia’s Dzhankoi Air Base

The strike on Wednesday Morning, April 17, the Dzhankoi air base in occupied Crimea (probably with ATACMS ballistic missiles, Storm Shadow cruise missiles) achieved its goal and proved once again that the S-400 air defense system is incapable of hitting ballistic targets

There is evidence that the S-400 SAM system was destroyed during the attack on russian Dzhankoi Air Base in temporarily occupied Crimea

As a result of the strike, the S-400 surface-to-air system, which was intended to protect this russian military airfield from Ukrainian missile strikes, was destroyed at the air base in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoi. This can be evidenced by a photo, the origin of which is currently unknown, which allegedly shows the consequences of a Ukrainian missile attack on the russian airbase. Also, information is currently circulating on the Internet that, as a result of this strike, about 30 russian invaders were eliminated as well as 80 were wounded.

It should be noted that on the satellite images of this airfield, which were taken in March of this year, it is really possible to observe the deployment of the S-300 or S-400 SAM system.

Another example of the destruction of the modern russian SAM system may indicate that it is helpless against ballistic missiles, although, according to the declared tactical and technical characteristics, this system should shoot down ballistic missiles.

It should be noted that before this, S-400 SAM systems were already destroyed in occupied Crimea, the last time – near Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut and in the area between the villages of Molochne, Uyutne and Zaozerne. At the time, it was reported that a combined attack of kamikaze drones and cruise missiles, including Ukrainian Neptun anti-ship missiles, adapted for this task, was used to defeat these air defense systems.

Then the helplessness of the S-400 SAM systems in the fight against such targets was directly proven. Then questions arose even about the ability of this russian air defense system to spot small-sized targets, because the moment of defeat of this system was captured from a reconnaissance UAV.

But in the case of the defeat of the S-400 SAM system on Wednesday, April 17, we are talking about ATACMS ballistic missiles – at least the russians themselves were sorry that these missiles were used. And this already means the proved fact that the S-400 system, despite all declarations, cannot intercept even quite old ballistic missiles for tactical missile systems. At the same time, we are not talking about the need to even overload the channels of the russian air defense system, because, as evidenced by russian social networks, there were only two ATACMS missiles this time…

  1. “And this already means the proved fact that the S-400 system, despite all declarations, cannot intercept even quite old ballistic missiles for tactical missile systems”

Like all russian junk, it’s capabilities are always over-exaggerated, mainly by the Western media that believe any BS the kremlin churn out.

  2. S-400, the triumph of corruption! As I remember having read long time ago, the corporation that builds those systems, Almaz-Antey, managed to get into trouble with the rather crime-tolerant kleptocratic regime, because the development money had vanished without creating a significant improvement over the older S-300 system. So, Putinstan’s economy, undermined by criminal greed, is even less efficient than the underperforming communist one! 😈
