According to Trump, Putin does not want a new war.
US President Donald Trump made several statements about the Russia-Ukraine war. His remarks were made in an interview with Fox Radio .
“Ukraine will lose even more territory in a short period of time,” Trump said.
According to the US President, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not seek a new war. He believes that Russians will not pose a threat to the Baltics or other European countries.
“They’re not looking for a new war. They’re accepting punishment,” Trump said.
Trump also assured that he has no intention of lifting sanctions against Russian oil. Moreover, he added that he plans to impose new “very powerful” sanctions against Russia soon.
Furthermore, the US President stated that next Thursday, November 27, which is Thanksgiving Day in the United States, is the appropriate deadline to make a decision on a “peace plan” for Ukraine. He noted that he is committed to this deadline, but that the deadline could be extended if “things go well.”
Speaking about the 28 points of the US “peace plan” that were previously revealed by the media, Trump said that “the United States is interested in only one thing – making sure that the killing stops.”
