Ukraine Was Told No, So They Built 6,000 and Destroyed a russian Tu-95 (video commentary)

09/02/2026

Ukraine just destroyed an irreplaceable Russian Tu-95 strategic aircraft with a drone that costs about $48,000, and for a month nobody knew what actually hit it. Since recording this video last week, Ukraine has just hit another Tu-95 at the same exact airbase, damaging its wing!

The deep strike drone was the MICH 2000, a long-range drone that started as a failed deal at a Chinese factory near Hong Kong and became a Ukrainian production line building roughly 6,000 aircraft a year. How did that happen? Ukraine secretly took photos of the factory while visiting in China.

I trace the drone’s origin, break down exactly what it can and can’t do, and explain why Russia’s strategic aircraft fleet is shrinking in a way it can no longer reverse.
