Ukrainian drones struck an oil terminal in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don on the night of Saturday, October 10. A massive fire broke out at the site, according to Militarnye .

Regional Governor Yuriy Slyusar confirmed the drone attack on the region and the fire in the city.

It was noted that the drones hit the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery’s oil loading terminal, the “NZNP Oil Loading Terminal,” previously known as “Yug Rusi.”

The damaged terminal is located in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don. It is used to transship petroleum products for export, supply the Russian army with fuel, and receive foreign currency earnings. The facility’s design capacity is approximately 2.5 million tons per year.

The previous attack on the oil terminal occurred on July 9, 2026.

The governor also reported damage to a railway bridge, which led to the suspension of traffic in both directions.

Petr Andryushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, noted that the damaged bridge is a key supply line for the Russian group. He also noted that two ships were damaged in the port of Azov.

“This bridge is number two in importance. If the bridge (incidentally, it’s a double one – a road and a rail bridge) fails and bridge number one is destroyed, the Russians will have a very difficult time with logistics in the Donetsk region,” Andryushchenko wrote.
