The Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out airstrikes on Russian military logistics infrastructure in the Polohy area on the Huliaipole front, destroying bridges used by Russian forces to move personnel, equipment, and ammunition.
As reported by Ukrinform, the 7th Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces announced this on Facebook.
“On the Huliaipole front, within the area of responsibility of the 7th Air Assault Corps, the Defense Forces carried out a series of airstrikes against the enemy’s logistics infrastructure,” the statement said.
According to the report, Ukrainian troops destroyed bridges near the settlement of Polohy that Russian forces used to transport personnel, heavy equipment, and ammunition to support offensive operations toward Orikhiv.
“As a result of the strikes, enemy logistics in this section of the front have been significantly disrupted. The ability of Russian units to redeploy forces and logistical supplies has been limited,” the Corps added.
The military also reported that reduced logistical capacity along routes used to transport oversized equipment had forced the enemy to deploy motorized equipment more actively.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 20, Russian forces launched two attacks in the Huliaipole sector of the front, attempting to advance toward Vozdvyzhivka and Charivne.
