The situation in Crimea has reached crisis levels. The Russian-installed government of the region has officially declared that there is no fuel available for individuals or businesses, with no timeline for an end in sight. This is a dramatic shift from earlier statements, where they claimed the situation was temporary and would be resolved. It’s also proof for how well Ukraine’s logistics lockdown strategy is working. I talk about how well Ukraine’s strikes are going, including their pressure on the Crimean Bridge, and why Russians are now being told to leave while they can.

Here’s hoping that Paul has this right.
This is a classic psy-op. It didn’t really work before, but it may well be working now because the possibility of a landing operation cannot now be ruled out.
People like General Hodges have been saying for years that taking back Crimea is key; and he always thought it was possible.
Prof Tim Wilson has claimed that SAS formations have been operating in Ukraine since before 2022, which might explain why Robin Horsfall takes such a strong interest.
The SAS is a covert regiment and has different rules of engagement to the regular army.
It is the father of all elite special forces. Disruption, sabotage, assassinations, infiltration, exfiltration and preparing the ground for big operations are amongst their key skills.
Off topic:
Sir Kier Starmer has resigned. Pressured out by his own party, in the same way that the Tories did it to Boris.
I’m not particularly a fan of Starmer but he has made the U.K. Ukraine’s second biggest military donor.
I’m even less a fan of his leftist would-be usurper Andy Burnham.
Burnham supports Ukraine but will embark on a crazy borrow, tax and spend splurge, so will there be enough left for Ukraine after that?
For Ukraine the best option would be a surprise challenge to Burnham from Al Carns, who is a military man and strong Ukraine supporter.
