I examine Germany’s announcement that it will urgently transfer PAC-2 Patriot interceptors from national stocks and pursue contracts for roughly 1,000 Patriot missiles for Ukraine through an EU-backed loan. With winter approaching and Russian ballistic-missile and drone attacks intensifying, this is more than another aid pledge: it could directly affect Ukraine’s ability to protect cities, energy infrastructure, and civilian life. Germany is also increasing AIM-9 deliveries, while Ukraine seeks additional IRIS-T missiles and Britain, France, Italy, and other partners pursue further air-defense support.
I also look at the strategic political context behind this decision: the AfD’s electoral rise, migration and economic pressures inside Germany, Kyiv’s talks with Trump’s envoys, and Kremlin messaging around possible trilateral negotiations. The central question is whether Europe can sustain the industrial capacity and political resolve needed to deny Russia leverage through winter and beyond.

The midterms aren’t likely to change much when it comes to US sentiment, less than 11% want the ruzzkis to win.

A majority, 62%, want Ukraine to win the war, while 11% would prefer a Russian victory. Unlike Trump, 75% of Americans view Ukraine as an ally, while Russia tops the list of US ‘enemies’, a label applied by 79% of those surveyed, ahead of China at 76% and Iran at 77%. The views of MAGA Republicans do not differ dramatically from the national average, with 73% considering Ukraine an ally and 74% viewing Russia as an adversary.”

The midterms will put a check on this wannabe dictator, and start investigating corruption and collaboration of this administration with the genocidal regime of pootin and cohorts.
I doubt anything will change with ruSSia either, Trump still thinks he can turn Vladolf, just like Bush and Obama did. If the Democrats want to win in 2028 they should not waste their time trying to prosecute a lame duck president though. The People won’t like that, they never do.
