Ukraine has been striking Russia’s oil infrastructure like never before, causing Russia’s Dutch Disease to flare up to new levels. It’s worse than it looks. When we understand today’s current trends in the context of Russia’s preexisting systemic economic vulnerability, we begin to see a situation that Russia simply won’t be able to recover from, especially while they continue their war against Ukraine.
