Trump Threatens to Blow Up Everything (video commentary)

Donald Trump made a shocking post on Truth Social yesterday, saying: “Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day all wrapped up in one in Iran. There will be nothing like it. Open the expletative straight, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell. Just watch. Praise be to Allah, President Donald J. Trump.” And if any other president had made a remark like this or similar to other things that Trump has said, there would be immediate action to remove him from office. This is not a sign of a well man.

However, Trump doubled down on what he said in several interviews, telling Axios that the deal is possible otherwise “I am blowing up everything”. Telling the Wall Street Journal that they won’t strike every power plant. And as numerous people have pointed out, destroying this kind of infrastructure such as power plants and bridges and roads and things that civilians rely on is a war crime. Trump is threatening war crimes.

All of this comes as Trump is asking for a $1.5 trillion defense budget, far more than any other defense budget has ever been, while simultaneously cutting many domestic programs. Trump even said as much last week in a White House event for Easter, which mostly gained attention for the remarks by Paula White in which she compared Trump to Jesus.

But Trump actually said several things at that White House event that eventually caused the White House to remove the video from its website. However, I’ve tracked down several clips from what he said, and they are truly shocking. First, check out this short clip of Trump saying that we cannot afford daycare, Medicare, Medicaid because we have to take care of the military.
