Between relying on nukes or NATO, Ukraine’s best bet is to rely on nukes.
NATO has proven to be extremely wobbly and unreliable. Remember, NATO refuses to protect its OWN airspace from russian attack drones and missiles. And, NATO’s strength will deteriorate even more if the orange felon wins the election.

IMO if Ukraine was in NATO and declared article 5, they probably wouldn’t get any better response than those that would team up with Ukraine if they reinstituted their nuclear programs.
