Donald Trump and the United States have set a new deadline to end the war in Ukraine by June. It’s not the first deadline – not by far, and there’s no reason to expect the results of this deadline to be any different from previous ones. So why make the overture in the first place? In this video, I show why U.S. efforts to negotiate a peace between Russia and Ukraine haven’t worked, and why they won’t work in the future. I explain how the United States has lost all leverage over Ukraine and the true implications of that going forward.
