President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the world has already made the biggest compromise regarding Russia, as Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and his entourage still remain at large.

He said this  in an interview with Politico, reports Censor.NET.

Signals of compromise are coming from the US

According to Zelensky, he is receiving signals from Washington and US President Donald Trump about the need for a compromise with Russia.

“From the American side, from President Trump, there are signals that now is the time for compromises, that we can take a few steps forward. We have made many compromises. Putin and his friends are not in prison. This is the biggest compromise the world has ever made,” the head of state said.

The need to put pressure on the Russian Federation 

The president also said that  Trump had proposed a ceasefire and a temporary freeze on the war. Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, but, according to Zelensky, Putin refused.

The head of state believes that this will continue until real pressure is put on Putin.

“Of course, he will refuse… Today one reason, tomorrow another reason, and so on. We need to put pressure on him… Putin will stop this war if real pressure is put on him,” Zelensky added. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3600710
