It is not yet known what stage the Ukrainian development is at.
Ukraine is developing a long-range anti-aircraft missile system capable of destroying targets at a distance of up to 100 km. This is a strategic-level air defense system, the development of which has been proposed to EU countries, Defense Express writes .

It is noted that this may involve the development of an air defense system that will be twice as powerful as the Patriot. This weapon may exceed the SAMP/T in range.
The publication recalled that a few days ago, Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin said that the Ukrainian defense industry was working on its own analogue of the Patriot. He probably had this weapon in mind.
It is not yet known at what stage the Ukrainian development is, the publication emphasized. However, talks about it have been going on for several years. Therefore, the appearance of a new anti-aircraft missile system in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can become known only after the fact, as, for example, with the “Long Neptune”.
The publication believes that those European countries that need such weapons can request to join the development of a new Ukrainian air defense system. The journalists are sure that this request will be rejected by France and Italy, which are currently finalizing a new version of the SAMP/T NG. In addition, there are countries that are interested in Israeli or American weapons, including Germany and Poland.
The publication predicts that Sweden, whose Saab company already produces its own modern Giraffe 4A radar, may be interested in the development. The offer may also be of interest to Norway and the Kongsberg company, whose head has announced his intention to integrate Ukrainian missiles into the NASAMS air defense system.

If anyone can do it, Ukraine can, given their history of developing rockets etc.
And they can be choosey about who they partner with.
Definitely. Having no fair weather friends to rely on will be a huge bonus for Ukraine.
