Ukraine hits Russian territory with ATACMS for the first time, – media

According to Ukrainian media sources, the object was successfully destroyed. The detonation continues to this day.

For the first time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an ATACMS ballistic missile strike on Russian territory .

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an informed source in the Defense Forces, Ukrainian troops struck a military facility near the city of Karachev in the Bryansk region. The target was successfully hit.

“Indeed, ATACMS was used for the first time to strike the territory of the Russian Federation. The strike was carried out on a facility in the Bryansk region, it was successfully destroyed,” the source said.

Karachev is located near the Russian city of Bryansk and about 130 km from the Ukrainian border. It was reported that on the night of November 19, 2024, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Defense Ministry arsenal in Karachev.

As of 02:30 that night, 12 secondary explosions and a detonation were recorded in the target area.
