Ukraine and Canada have signed a number of bilateral documents, including the 100-Year Partnership Declaration.

An Ukrinform correspondent reports this, citing a broadcast of the signing ceremony.

The Declaration on 100-Year Partnership between Ukraine and Canada was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the Ukrainian side and Prime Minister Mark Carney on the Canadian side. Under the document, the leaders agreed to conclude a 100-year partnership agreement aimed at deepening economic, security and political ties between the two countries, as well as supporting a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

The two sides also signed a joint declaration on strengthening defense and security cooperation between the countries (Drone Deal). The document sets out priority areas for deepening bilateral cooperation in defense and the defense industry.

In addition, Ukrainian Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal and Canadian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson signed a statement on energy cooperation between the two countries. The sides identified areas for strengthening bilateral cooperation to support Ukraine’s energy security.
