What is known
In the morning, the Russian city of Perm came under Ukrainian attacks. Smoke is visible above the city.
“A refinery was attacked in Perm,” Exilenova+ reported at 07:32.
A little later, they clarified: the Russians complained about “a series of explosions at the refinery.”

Local authorities said they were repelling a UAV attack in the region.

“Velikoe Savino Airport has suspended the reception and departure of aircraft. Sirens are sounding in Perm, and loud explosions were heard in a number of areas,” writes the independent Russian publication ASTRA.

The LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery, one of the largest refineries in Russia, was likely attacked. Its capacity is estimated at about 13 million tons of oil per year.
This refinery is located in the Perm Industrial District, where, according to Russian reports, the explosions occurred.

The enterprise produces automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, etc.
“LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez” has been repeatedly hit by Ukrainian drones. The attacks were recorded in late April, in May, and on July 29-30.
“After the July attack, there were reports of an emergency shutdown of the primary processing unit and the operation of the enterprise at approximately 75% capacity. If the current damage to the PNOS is confirmed, this will be a repeated blow to the refinery, which was already operating with damaged primary processing,” said Petro Andryuschenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation.
The news is being supplemented.
