Ukraine bombed two more refineries in Russia

The Commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdy (Magyar), reported that the “Bird Sting” of the SBS (14th SBS Regiment) and Special Operations Forces attacked the Krasnodar Refinery (Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation), which specializes in aviation fuel (1.1% of the total volume).

“Due to the fall of drone debris on the territory of the Krasnodar Oil Refinery, one of the technological installations was damaged, a fire broke out on an area of ​​about 300 sq. m. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Fire and rescue units, special and emergency services are currently working at the site,” the report said.

Employees of the oil refinery were evacuated, and residents of Krasnodar were urged to stay home and not go outside.

Krasnodar Refinery is a large oil refinery with a design oil refining capacity of 3.1 million tons per year.

It is the oldest of the currently operating Russian oil refineries. Currently, the Krasnodar Refinery is a branch of Afipsky Refinery LLC.

Drones have attacked the Syzran oil refinery again, local residents also reported, who showed relevant footage. The plant was previously attacked on August 24 and 15.

The Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, reported on the social network “VK” that the attack was allegedly repelled.

“Early this morning, the enemy attempted to attack an industrial enterprise in Syzran. It was stopped,” he wrote. However, local residents reported that a fire had broken out at the refinery.

Earlier, the Syzran oil refinery was attacked by Ukrainian drones on August 24. Sources in the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported in a comment to Russian media that five drones hit and exploded on the territory of the refinery, three of which hit equipment. As a result, the AVT-6 primary oil processing unit, the L-35-6 secondary oil processing unit, and the pumping station were damaged.

JSC “Syzran Oil Refinery” is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Samara region , which is part of the structure of PJSC “Rosneft”. The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, etc. The Syzran Oil Refinery processes from 7 to 8.5 million tons of oil per year.

Before that, drones attacked the Syzran Oil Refinery on August 15. The city of Syzran is located more than 1,000 km from the border with Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strikes on oil refineries in Krasnodar and Syzran on the night of August 30 as part of reducing the enemy’s offensive potential and complicating the supply of fuel to the military units of the occupiers.

Numerous explosions and a fire were recorded at the plant in Krasnodar, and at the Syzran Refinery, a fire occurred near the facility.

“The defense forces are taking measures to undermine the offensive potential of the Russian invaders and force the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine,” the statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reads.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of August 28, explosions erupted in several Russian regions amid a UAV attack. Oil refineries were once again targeted . The explosions occurred at the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the Samara region and the Afipsk refinery in the Krasnodar region.
