Ukraine and Germany have concluded an agreement on the immediate strengthening of Ukrainian air defense. The corresponding document was signed by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius at a meeting of G7 defense ministers.

The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported this on his Facebook page . According to him, this agreement provides for agreements under which the signatory countries will make contributions to joint projects or finance their own projects aimed at strengthening the air defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition to Ukraine, five more signatory countries will join this project: Germany, Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands and Denmark.

“We are taking concrete steps that will ensure the protection of the civilian population and critical infrastructure,” Umerov wrote.

He thanked Germany for the initiative and all participating countries for their strong contribution to Ukraine’s security.
