Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said the US Senate will “quickly” pass House Speaker Mike Johnson’s bills, in particular on aid to Ukraine .

“If the House of Representatives sends the National Security package to the Senate, we will quickly send it to US President Joe Biden,” he tweeted .
Schumer added that he hopes the House will support the bills because “the delay has been costly for the United States and its allies.”
He also recalled that this week he met with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
“If the United States does not support Ukraine, they will lose the war to Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the politician emphasized.
Ukraine aid bill – details
On Friday, April 19, the US House of Representatives held a procedural vote on bills on foreign assistance, including to Ukraine, which will allow them to be submitted for further consideration. This decision was supported by 316 Republicans and Democrats.
United States President Joe Biden has promised to “immediately sign” House Speaker Mike Johnson’s aid bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan once the documents are approved by Congress.
