    • “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing – after they’ve tried everything else!”
(Winston Churchill, probably after the Lend Lease Act had passed)
      🥳

  2. A lot of Ukrainian flags being waved. I was looking for Moscow Marj waving her orc flag, but I guess she had stormed off by then.

  3. The majority of so-called Republicans voted against righteousness! But, the important thing is that the aid bill is finally passed. Ukraine and its supporters can breathe a sigh of relief. The mafiosi fascists and their despicable supporters can cringe!

  4. Praise the Lord! I honestly didn’t expect that before the election. Regardless what happened there behind the scenes in the US, that’s the good news we had been praying for! What a relief!
    🇺🇸🙂👍

    • That’s ok, there were A LOT of people wrong about the passage and wrong about Johnson and many other things. That happens when you use crystal balls made through the prism of partisanship instead of logic.

  5. Comment from Roman Sheremeta:

“The US Congress has passed the $61 billion Ukraine aid package!

Today, 20 April 2024, Congress came together. Representatives of both parties put their differences aside and voted to support Ukraine in this historic time. The US has proven once more that they stand on the right side of history.

This massive aid will provide enough weapons and ammo to defend Ukraine through the year, past the US elections. It also signals to russia that they cannot win in Ukraine.

Pentagon is already preparing a massive logistical system that will start to flood Ukraine with weapons and ammo. In coming weeks, Ukraine will have air defense missiles, artillery, cluster munitions, HIMARS rockets, UAVs, small arms, and armored fighting vehicles.

This will have an immediate impact at the frontlines. There will be an increase in outbound artillery rounds, russian casualties will spike, Europe will be able to focus on humanitarian aid to Ukraine while expanding its own military capacity.”

I think he probably speaks for the overwhelming majority of patriotic Ukrainians. The sense of relief is enormous. But no thanks to the other other allies who could have filled that $62 billion void immediately, but chose not to.
The putler wing of the GOP seems to be increasing, rather than dying out, which is a desperate cause for concern.

  6. America is not a party, it is people. And my people voted in favor of Ukraine. 🇺🇦✌🇺🇸

  7. Yay! Finally something positive from the House!

Unfortunately, they didn’t simply pass the Senate bill, so now this needs to go back to the Senate – meaning more delay.

      • I do find it scandalous that it’s now the Senate which takes its time, while Ukrainians get hit from Rusdian airstrikes. Very insensitive of Schumer. ☹

        • As I posted in more detail in another article, Senator Schumer told senators on Friday they should be ready to work through the weekend, and today locked in an agreement enabling the Senate to finish work on the supplemental. It seems that Tuesday is the earliest they would be able to vote on it.

          • Or that Republicans want to vote on it. Will there be a last minute upset in the Senate? This concerns me now. 🤔

  8. There will be no last minute upset or delay in the Senate. Yes there are some Republican Senators who will not be supportive, but the minority Senate leader and a clear majority of R’s will support. Therefore there will be no problem exceeding the 60 vote threshold to prevent delay. So by next Tuesday/Wednesday the bill will be on Biden’s desk for his signature.

Pray the Pentagon actually is efficient and timely for a change and will get the military support to Ukraine immediately instead of six months from now.

By the way those R Senators who are opposed ARE NOT PRO RUSSIA/“Putin” SUPPORTERS! STOP THE SLANDER/cheap and easy democratic talking points! They and many Americans are just a lot more concerned about the unpayable US $35 trillion debt and/or our totally open southern border which has allowed 6 to 8 million unvetted people into the country including 600,000 people who have been convicted of crimes or have trials pending in their home countries.

    • If they were so concerned about the US debt, they wouldn’t have voted for the $2 trillion tax cut for the wealthy and for corporations.

    • If they are so concerned about the national debt, there are better ways to save money than to allow the forces of evil gobble up an entire nation, and thus opening the Pandora’s Box for all trash nations to follow suit. What do you think the costs will be THEN?
Forcing the Pentagon to stop paying hundreds of dollars for toilet seats and thousands for simple tools would be a good first step to save money. Stop the inflow of illegal immigrants and drugs would also be helpful. And so on…

      • This war should be a wake up call for the Pentagon. Ukraine have proved that you don’t need complex, over-engineered weapons to destroy tanks and orcs. Would the Pentagon swallow their pride and ask Ukraine how to develop cheap effective drones, or would similar US built variations, cost 10 times more?

  9. Oh you mean the tax cut that actually increased federal revenue due to the stimulated growth of the US economy?

So glad Biden spent almost $1 trillion on the Democratic party sponsored “inflation reduction act” which was nothing but free money to democratic connected cronies and boondoggles.

    • While the tax cuts did boost investment somewhat, they came nowhere close to paying for themselves, and are adding more than $100 billion a year to America’s national debt.
