The United Kingdom is sending Ukraine additional long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles to disrupt Russian military operations targeting civilian infrastructure ahead of winter, according to Bloomberg on October 15.
The additional deliveries were discussed during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to London on October 14, when he met British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
Bloomberg cited people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity because the weapons shipment has not been publicly announced.
The UK has not disclosed how many missiles are being transferred or when they will arrive. British officials consider Ukrainian strikes against Russian military facilities involved in attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure to be defensive operations, the sources noted.
The sources also indicated that London opposes restricting Ukraine’s strikes inside Russia while Moscow continues attacking Ukrainian territory. The position contrasts with Washington’s reported pressure on Kyiv to suspend drone strikes against Russian oil refineries, the outlet added.
The UK government declined to comment on the reported shipment. Britain has not disclosed the total number of Storm Shadow missiles supplied to Ukraine since 2023 and does not routinely announce individual deliveries, Bloomberg noted.
Manufactured by European defense company MBDA, Storm Shadow missiles have a range exceeding 250 kilometers and use terrain-hugging flight profiles to penetrate enemy air defenses. Ukraine first deployed the British-supplied missiles against military targets inside Russia in November 2024.
Alongside the long-range strike capability, Britain is also strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses ahead of winter. London has committed $2.12 billion to supply more than 5,000 Lightweight Multirole Missiles over four years, a weapon effective against the jet-powered drones Russia increasingly uses in deep strikes.
A further $59.7 million in surface-to-air missile deliveries was announced alongside Zelenskyy’s visit, with $13.3 million accelerated to meet Ukraine’s most urgent winter air-defense needs. Britain is also pressing partners to tighten sanctions and adopt a ban on maritime services for Russian liquefied natural gas exports.

Awesome!
How about some Taurus, Merz, you wuss?!
I would target every data centre possible. It’s a huge achilles heel for mafia land.
Refineries, oil depots, arms factories, data centers, giant warehouses, power plants, hospitals, schools, the stupid circus church … there are so many juicy targets and so few hard-hitting weapons.
