UAVs attacked the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region

On the night of Tuesday, November 4, the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation was attacked by drones. In the town of Kstovo near 
Nizhny Novgorod, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez enterprise was hit.

A fire broke out at the facility, footage of which was shared online by Russians. The fire was visible from afar, according to local residents, who also complained about the smell of burning rubber in the air.

Judging by reports on Russian channels, the attack on Kstovo lasted more than one hour.

The affected refinery is located approximately 800 km from the Ukrainian-Russian border. Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. It has been attacked by Ukrainian drones several times.

Recently, on October 16, the L-24/300 unit was hit there. It treats 24 tons of raw material per hour, correspondingly up to 300 thousand tons per year.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on Sunday, November 2, it became known that Ukraine had attacked the Saratov oil refinery in the Russian Federation. The work of air defenses could be heard there, and later the Russians “admired” the fire.
