U.S. reporter who asked Zelenskyy about suit says he receives threats

4 March, 2025

American RSBN journalist Brian Glenn, who asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference in the Oval Office why he was not wearing a suit, said he was being threatened.

He said this on the BBC.

The journalist said that this has affected his personal life and that he now has a police unit at his home because people say they are going to find him and do him harm.

“Death threats, phone calls – I don’t know how they got my number,” he said.

He also added that he did not intend to offend President Zelenskyy, but only checked whether he understood the “level of respect for the Oval Office.”

“Many will say, why doesn’t Elon Musk wear a suit? Why is he wearing a cap? Musk is charge of saving billions of taxpayer dollars. Zelenskyy was given, they say, about $300 billion in cash and military equipment, so I think it’s worth showing respect,” the journalist added.

  • On March 2, pro-Ukrainian activists staged a protest: when U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance was on his way to a ski vacation with his family, he was met by activists with posters reading “Traitor, go ski in Russia!” and others.

  1. What a prick and liar. He wanted to humiliate Zelensky.

“level of respect for the Oval Office.”

The entire planet saw the level of respect in the Oval Office these days. It’s the same as in a schoolyard sandbox.

  2. “Many will say, why doesn’t Elon Musk wear a suit? Why is he wearing a cap? Musk is charge of saving billions of taxpayer dollars. Zelenskyy was given, they say, about $300 billion in cash and military equipment, so I think it’s worth showing respect,”

Two lies. There was no $300 billion, and Musk has received $38 billion of US taxpayers money to fund various projects.
