Two Russian invaders, who were exchanged for Ukrainian servicemen in June 2025, were again captured by soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in July.

This  was reported by   the project of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War “I Want to Live”,  Censor.NET informs .

“The fact that Russia sends prisoners of war back to slaughter immediately after an exchange is not news for a long time. Unlike Ukraine, where being in captivity is a legal basis for voluntarily leaving the service, Russian servicemen have no rights and do not decide anything,” they noted.

The project told about two such Russian prisoners. 

As noted, one of them is Saktaagai Shagaa, a native of Tuva, who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country, Russia, on December 10, 2024. He was sent to the 83rd Motorized Rifle Regiment, and in January, during the “meat” assault on Vovchansk, he was wounded and surrendered.

On June 20, according to the agreements in Istanbul, Saktaagay was returned to Russia as a prisoner of war with injuries.

However, as reported in “I Want to Live”, there was no treatment or rehabilitation, he did not even have time to get home.

“For two weeks, he was held and interrogated by FSB officers in the barracks of the 27th Motorized Rifle Brigade in the village of Mosrentgen, Moscow Region. After interrogation, he was immediately sent to the front near Vovchansk – the same place where he was first captured. Knowing from personal experience that his life was not in danger in Ukrainian captivity, on July 19, 2025, Shagaa surrendered to captivity again. Less than a month passed from the exchange to his re-capture,” the post says.

Another occupier, Dmitry Ivanov, a native of the Komi Republic, has a similar story. On September 11, 2024, he signed a contract with the 82nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of military unit 52033 and was sent to storm Vovchansk. A month later, on October 7, after being wounded, the occupier was captured for the first time.

On June 9, 2025, he was exchanged as wounded, and on July 19, near Volchansk, he was again captured.

“The way Russia treats its people is pure madness. Trying to please the grandfather-dictator with new “conquests” of ruins where Ukrainian cities and villages used to be, the Russian Defense Ministry is sending everyone to their deaths one by one. They don’t care whether it’s someone who has returned from captivity, wounded or sick, a young conscript or a grandfather, a cannibal released from prison, an African without knowledge of the language, or Russian women – everyone is going to the slaughter,” adds “I Want to Live.”
