The American president is outraged by the arrest warrant for the Israeli prime minister.
In the coming hours, US President Donald Trump will sign an executive order imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), which prosecutes war criminals from around the world, NBC News reported, citing a fact sheet confirming the order.
The order will impose financial sanctions and visa restrictions on ICC officials (and their family members) who have facilitated ICC investigations of U.S. or allied citizens.

Last November, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and several Hamas leaders simultaneously. The Trump administration’s order claimed that this created a “shameful moral equivalence.”
The court then said that Netanyahu and Gallant had likely used “starvation as a method of warfare” by restricting humanitarian aid to Gaza and deliberately targeting civilians in Gaza. The ICC’s ruling was criticized not only in Israel but also in the United States – by members of both major parties.
The signing of this decree is likely timed to coincide with Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, NBC News suggests.
“The ICC was designed to be a court of last resort. Both the United States and Israel have robust judicial systems and should never be subject to the ICC’s jurisdiction,” Trump’s draft order says.
