Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory earn respect from US President Donald Trump, as he values ​​strength and sees that Ukraine is capable of demonstrating it.

This was stated by Manhattan University professor Igor Eisenberg  on the Espresso airing of the program “Now the Main Thing” .

According to him, Trump’s rhetoric regarding Ukraine has changed significantly recently, but this has not yet been accompanied by specific decisions.

“If he had given the go-ahead for consideration of two bills in the Senate, if he had supported the restoration of aid to Ukraine, and one of these bills provides for exactly that, then these would be steps in the absolutely right direction. But so far he is not doing this,” Eisenberg noted.

The professor believes that Trump’s change in position is due to the fact that he began to assess the balance of power in the war differently.

“He sees that Putin is not as strong as he thought. Instead, Ukraine is demonstrating strength, and he loves strength,” the expert explained.

At the same time, Eisenberg emphasized that it is not worth talking about Trump becoming a supporter of Ukraine.

“I can’t say that he has become a supporter of Ukraine. But the fact that Ukrainian strikes inspire respect in him is a fact. This is simply evident from what he says,” the professor summed up.

Fuel crisis in Russia

The fuel shortage in Russia has been unfolding since the end of May, when restrictions on the sale of gasoline covered Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the occupied territories : gas station chains introduced limits on the sale of fuel to one person, and in occupied Crimea, fuel began to be sold only with coupons.

On June 17, it became known that Russia plans to import gasoline by sea from Asian countries , without specifying which ones – at that time it was only mentioned that China, Singapore, and South Korea were possible candidates.

The crisis had worsened significantly by the end of June, with fuel shortages affecting all 11 time zones in Russia , queues at gas stations, and gasoline prices rising to record levels. That same week, it was revealed that Russia had classified gasoline and diesel fuel price statistics , removing the data from public access.

On July 1, it was reported that Russia had begun shipping gasoline from India in an attempt to ease the fuel crisis caused by Ukrainian attacks on oil infrastructure. At least 60,000 tons of fuel have already been shipped from India on two tankers.

Due to fuel shortages in some regions of the Russian Federation, Russians began to switch to horses – they turned out to be cheaper than UAZ cars and do not require gasoline.

The search query “how to make gasoline” set a record in Yandex since the beginning of the war in the Russian Federation – in June it was searched for three times more often than a month earlier, and people were most actively interested in it in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and occupied Crimea.
