The American leader noted that negotiations with Russia and Ukraine are moving forward.

US President Donald Trump said he did not set any deadlines for Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine.

However, he said a ceasefire would be “soon.” He made his remarks during a press conference broadcast by Fox News .

Asked whether the US would tighten restrictions against Russia because Putin rejected the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine, he said:

“He didn’t reject anything. And there are sanctions against them, a lot of sanctions. There are practically more sanctions against them than against anyone else.”

Trump also said that negotiations with Russia and Ukraine were moving forward, and that he had a couple of “good conversations” about it on March 21.
