Former US President, who again has ambitions to take the presidency, Donald Trump gave a signal to Russia and its leader Putin that you can freely destroy other countries if they have financial debts to you.

In fact, the politician made a scandalous statement on Saturday, February 10, during a campaign rally in Conway (South Carolina), writes The Guardian .

Trump told voters how, during an informal meeting within NATO, he had a corresponding conversation with one of the leaders of an Alliance member country. 

“One of the presidents of a great country stood up and said, ‘Well, sir, if we don’t pay and we get attacked by Russia, will you protect us?'” Trump recalled.

The politician emphasized that his opinion on this matter is as follows: 

“You didn’t pay, are you violators? No, I wouldn’t defend you. In fact, I would advise them to do whatever the hell they want. You have to pay. You have to pay your bills,” the publication quotes.

Trump’s statement has already been condemned by the White House. Andrew Bates, a spokesman for the current US leader’s administration, said that such public encouragement of aggression is terrible and abnormal. “And it jeopardizes American national security, global stability and our domestic economy,” he added. 

The Guardian recalls that during the last presidential campaign (2016), Trump also frightened NATO with his statements. At the time, he argued that the United States would not fulfill its treaty obligations to protect NATO countries unless its military spending met the Alliance’s 2% standard.
