The King had previously invited Trump to a meeting, and he believed that he was the only one who was special.

Donald Trump has “cooled” towards Britain after King Charles met with the Ukrainian president at his country estate, the Daily Mail reports , citing diplomatic sources in Washington.

According to the publication, the US president’s allies made it clear to UK officials that the joint photos of the British King with the Ukrainian leader made Trump feel “less special”. Charles had previously sent Trump an invitation to visit the UK.

In response, the British explained to Trump’s allies that it would be inappropriate to tell the King who he could or could not meet.

As the Daily Mail notes, Charles openly demonstrated solidarity with Volodymyr Zelenskyy a day after the quarrel between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States in the Oval Office.

And the next day, the British King also met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, with whom Trump also has extremely tense relations due to the trade war unleashed by Washington and open encroachments on Canada’s sovereignty and independence.

However, sources in the British government insistently stressed that the King’s meeting with the Ukrainian president was not a reaction to the quarrel in the Oval Office, but had been planned long before. Moreover, the two had already met in February 2023.

According to the US President, Russia was treated with hostility, which could have led to war.

Tougher as in no aid nor weapons to Ukraine, no intell?
