The US President repeated Russian narratives and lashed out at Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of starting a war against Russia.

Trump’s statements echoed Russia’s narrative that Ukraine provoked a full-scale invasion nearly three years ago. He then backed Russia’s demand for elections in Ukraine as part of a ceasefire deal, raising concerns that the Kremlin could try to manipulate the vote to install a pro-Russian candidate, The Times reports .

However, Trump also said he personally liked Zelensky: “He’s a good man. But I don’t care about personal sympathies. I care about getting the job done. You have a leadership that has allowed war.” Zelensky accused American negotiators of trying to decide the future of his country without consulting Ukraine, and said the European Union, Turkey and the United Kingdom should be involved in the process.

At a time when there is no sign that Russia is ready to lower its demands or give up control over the territories of Ukraine that it claims as its own.

“Kyiv fears that Trump will abandon Ukraine for the sake of a short-term and unstable peace that could threaten the rest of Europe,” the article says.

  1. Spot rhe difference. Trump in 2022.

“I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,”

Trump 2025. “Ukraine started the war. “

    • Yeah. The orange one was pissed because Zelesky told him he lived in a disinformation bubble. So Trump replied with more disinformation. Zelensky won that round.
