Later, the city’s mayor, Gennady Trukhanov, reported that the Russians had launched a massive attack on a densely populated area of ​​Odessa.

As of this morning, 14 schools and 13 kindergartens are without power and heating as a result of the enemy attack. Also without power and heat is a large residential area – more than 500 multi-story buildings.

The children’s clinic and kindergarten also sustained significant damage.

In addition, Trukhanov reported one victim, who is receiving assistance in the hospital.

Today, those educational institutions that lack heat and light will not accept children. Warming points and invincibility points will operate.

“The neighbors’ fight with Odessa’s children’s institutions continues. One of the kindergartens, which was accepting children yesterday, was significantly damaged. Not a single whole group, again more than a hundred windows. There is no electricity in many schools and kindergartens in the Kievsky district, but we would have dealt with this… There is no heat now, so they are on distance learning until the heat supply is restored,” the official said.

Also, the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper clarified that in Kievsky, the largest residential area of ​​the regional center, heat supply to some consumers has been suspended, and points of invincibility have been opened.

“As a result of the attack, civilian infrastructure was damaged, in particular a children’s clinic, a kindergarten, glazing in multi-story buildings and cars,” the official emphasized.

According to him, 4 people were injured, including a child, and all were hospitalized in moderate condition.

Kiper added that due to the Russian attack, local emergency power outages are in effect in part of the Odessa region. Critical infrastructure operates with the help of generators. All relevant services are working on the ground to eliminate the consequences. Law enforcement officers are currently recording crimes by Russians against the civilian population of the Odessa region.
