TRUE Reason Why Russia Started War in Ukraine Finally REVEALED

Why did Russia invade Ukraine in February 2022? This video dives into the complex motives behind Putin’s decision to launch a full-scale invasion, despite the immense cost. We explore potential reasons such as NATO expansion, Putin’s revanchist ideology, and demographic challenges, but focus on a crucial factor: Ukraine’s vast mineral resources. With increasing global demand for lithium and rare earth minerals essential for a green energy transition, could these resources be a key reason behind the timing of the invasion?

This war started in 2014, and NOT in 2022 with the Russian annexation of Crimea. The waters around Crimea contain VAST natural gas fields. In addition, the two Russian backed break-away Ukrainian regions just ‘happen’ to be sitting on top of two huge oil fields.

If Ukraine joined the EU (Let alone NATO) then Russia would not have the strangle hold on Europe’s alternative energy supplies. I cannot understand why nobody has mentioned this.

I’m glad you produced this episode. Putin’s stated reasons for the invasion cannot be the actual reasons–they are utterly irrational. As you point out, Ukraine had zero prospects for joining NATO at the time of the invasion. The claim that Ukraine was a “Nazi state” is laughable. The invasion did not protect the Russian-speaking population of the Donbas, it has utterly devastated these people.

Expansion to the several “gaps” that would provide defense against against invasion would only be critical for a non-nuclear nation.

Ukraine’s natural resources does present a good reason — you might have mentioned Ukraine’s natural gas fields, which would allow it to be a competitor to Russia’s markets. This is in addition to lithium and other minerals.

Ukraine’s legal borders must be fully restored

Here’s why:

Ukraine is sitting on $15 trillion worth of mineral resources, including rare earths, white hydrogen and shale gas.**
