On the night of October 10, Ukrainian drones attacked a railway bridge in the Vygonichsky District of the Bryansk Region, Governor Yegor Kovalchuk reported . According to him, the track was damaged. There were no casualties. The attack disrupted train service to Belarus. “Rail service on the Bryansk-Unecha-Gomel route has been disrupted. The Moscow-Novozybkov train will continue to Bryansk-Orlovsky station, and bus service has been established from there,” the regional governor wrote. This means that instead of a direct train to Belarus and back, passengers will now have to transfer to buses, of which, according to Kovalchuk, there are eight on the route.

It was also reported that trains from Minsk to Adler have been rerouted through the Smolensk region instead of the usual route through Bryansk Oblast due to a damaged bridge. Commuters will have to take a bus the rest of the way from the Vygonichi station. “The restoration timeframe will be determined after a comprehensive survey by Russian Railways units,” the governor stated. Russian Railways confirmed the information . This is at least the fifth attack on the Bryansk Oblast railways since the end of September. On the 29th, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones struck the railway line between Trosna and Rzhanitsa, approximately 68 km east of the Belarusian border.

Kovalchuk reported at the time that the attack damaged railway tracks. No one was injured. The Ukrainian OSINT channel Supernova claimed that a bridge near Trosna was damaged. The day before, drones attacked Russian Railways infrastructure on the Dyatkovo-Lyudinovo section. As a result, part of the railway bridge collapsed and 10 train cars derailed.

In addition to the Bryansk region, problems as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces arose in the Rostov region. A nighttime drone strike damaged a drawbridge on the Rostov-Bataisk section, Russian Railways stated. Service on the track was temporarily suspended. According  to the company, 25 passenger trains were delayed as a result by 11:00 AM. The disruptions affected trains traveling to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Adler, Sirius, as well as Arkhangelsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kislovodsk, Tomsk, Vorkuta, Sukhumi, Nalchik, Samara, Mineralnye Vody, Taganrog, and Vladikavkaz.
