Tonight, three objects were attacked on the territory of the Russian Federation. This is an operation of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense.

This was reported to UNIAN by sources in the special services. In particular, we are talking about the Volgograd Oil Refinery. Kaluganefteprodukt and Novolypetsk metallurgical plant were also attacked.

Military targets have been hit. All these attacks are a GUR operation.

“As a result of the GUR operation, on the night of May 12, the oil refinery in the Krasnoarmy district of the Volgograd region was attacked. The object was damaged around 2:30 a.m. local time. As a result of the kamikaze drone attack, several explosions rang out on the territory of the enterprise, after which a fire started at the oil refinery. The governor of the Volgograd region, Andriy Bocharov, also confirms the information about the damage to the refinery,” the source said.

In addition, the Novolypetsk metallurgical plant and the Kaluganaftoprodukt oil depot were also attacked by UAVs. These objects have already been attacked by drones before.

“Similar objects on the territory of the Russian Federation will be systematically attacked for as long as it takes until they are completely neutralized. Given Moscow’s stubborn efforts to increase pressure on the front, the Kremlin will not have sufficient forces and means to protect its strategic enterprises in the rear. The Russians will have to choose, what exactly to protect: either our oil refining and metallurgical industries, or the occupying forces in Ukraine,” the UNIAN source emphasized.
