Three Airbus H125 patrol helicopters for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine arrived in Lviv.
Newly arrived helicopters with numbers 43, 44, and 58 have already been painted in the colors of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service.
The latest Airbus H125 helicopters are being delivered under an agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic.

At the beginning of February, a separate Odessa Air Squadron was replenished with three modern border Airbus H125s with numbers 45, 42 and 41.
H125 are equipped with opto-electronic surveillance system, which allows monitoring of the state border, including in the thermal range (using a thermal imager).

The equipment allows you to record video in high quality and transmit it in real time.
Helicopters are also equipped with a warning system with loudspeakers and special aircraft searchlights, which can be used synchronously with the system of optoelectronic surveillance.
The range of the new H125 without refueling exceeds 500 km, and the cruising speed is 220 km / h.

Airbus H125 is 5 times more fuel efficient and has better maneuverability compared to the Mi-8, which is in service with the State Border Guard Service.
As part of the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement with the French Republic and the implementation of the investment project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to create a unified system of aviation security and civil protection, Ukraine should add 55 new models of aircraft.
Of these, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine will receive 24 new aircraft.
