This is a shot in the heart of Ukraine, – Poroshenko reacted to the murder of Andriy Parubiy

The murder of Andriy Parubiy is a shot to the heart of Ukraine.

As Censor.NET reports , Petro Poroshenko wrote about this on social networks.

“Unfortunately, it’s true. My long-time combat comrade since the early 2000s, my brother Andriy Parubiy, was shot dead by inhumans in Lviv. What can be said for sure is that these monsters are afraid and because of this they kill true patriots and strong people. Maidan, 11 years of war, a huge contribution to the building of Independence. Andriy is a great man and a true friend. This is what they are taking revenge for, this is what they are afraid of,” Poroshenko writes.

“This crime is not just a shot at a person. It is a shot at the Army. It is a shot at the Language. It is a shot at the Faith. It is a shot at the heart of Ukraine,” the fifth President emphasizes.

Parubiy in the Rada

“Andriy did everything possible to create the Ukrainian army. Especially when it was still about the first volunteer battalions that went to the front straight from the Maidan. Andriy played a decisive role in the adoption of the law on the Ukrainian language, which became a historic step in strengthening our identity. And during the struggle for the Tomos for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, I constantly felt his support as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada,” Poroshenko recalled.

“But the enemy will never be able to kill the ideals for which Andriy Parubiy lived and fought. Together we went through the Maidan, survived the most difficult years of the war, and affirmed Ukrainian statehood. His courage, sacrifice, and devotion to Ukraine will remain forever in the hearts of millions,” writes Petro Poroshenko.

“I express my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. Ukraine has lost a great son, but his cause will live on as long as our state lives. This is an act of terror, and it is a matter of honor for the special services and law enforcement agencies to find and punish the guilty and those involved. Eternal memory and eternal glory to Andriy Parubiy. Heroes do not die… Glory to Ukraine!”, writes the fifth President.

As a reminder, on August 30, an unknown person killed Andriy Parubiy in Lviv . It is noted that seven shell casings were found at the scene of the crime.
