The President of Ukraine recalled that Israel is also not a NATO country, but the Alliance military defended it.

The Allies’ downing of Iranian drones launched at Israel was a demonstration of double standards .
“What is the main issue of double standards? Politics in general is double standards. And so, unfortunately, it turns out. On the issue of protecting Ukraine there is more politics, but on the issue of protecting Israel, as we saw, there was pragmatism. We have always acted for our partners and allies to be partners and allies, pragmatic, who would understand that in order to protect Ukraine, we need to use all our opportunities to influence the defense of the sky,” President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with Brazilian journalists.
He emphasized that our partners must use not only political, financial, sanctions, but also defense opportunities.
“When we said from the first day of the war to close the sky, to protect Ukraine, we were told that we can do this, otherwise we will be drawn into a war with the Russian Federation, because you are not a NATO country, and we are NATO countries. History with Israel absolutely pragmatic, they needed to destroy everything that flew on the heads of the Israelis, well done, and that the people there are alive, and thank God. But nevertheless, this is double standards. Everyone forgot at such a moment that Israel is not. NATO country. I emphasize once again, thank God they were destroyed,” he said.
According to Zelensky, during the downing of Iranian drones, the allies showed all their power, “they showed how it can be.”
“And after this, one can debate for a long time that, first of all, it was not so, that Iran’s missiles flew over other countries where allied bases are located, and therefore they shot down everything even before Israel, they defended this space above their bases. But that’s all this would be, frankly, double standards. Unfortunately, at this moment values were divided. Unfortunately, at this moment it is a demonstration of different people, supposedly we are different people, supposedly we have different lives. And I think this was the worst moment in this. situation. Not defense, I emphasize. We ourselves demanded this. They demonstrated that it is enough to shoot down hundreds of missiles and Iranian Shaheeds. This demonstration would be just fine for Russia,” the president noted.
After all, as Zelensky recalled, Russian missiles have repeatedly entered Polish airspace.
“Both Poland and Romania. Sorry, but there were no reactions there. This indicates double standards, unfortunately,” the head of state said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the allies help Ukraine in many ways, “but not in everything.”
“And it’s not me who says it, it’s they who said it with their defense, with their demonstration,” he added.
US double standards
On the night of April 14, Iran fired more than 300 missiles and UAVs at Israel . This was the first ever direct attack by Israel from Iran.
Zelensky expressed disappointment after the US and its allies rushed to defend Israel from a massive Iranian attack over the weekend, marking the limits of Western support for Kyiv. “We in Ukraine know well the horror of such attacks from Russia, which uses the same Shahed drones and Russian missiles, the same tactics of mass strikes,” President Zelensky said.

President Zelenskyy is right, it is a complete double standard to not do what was done for Israel in Ukraine for protection against missile and drone attacks. This hypocrisy must stop.
Right, Sir Bill. Even if we accept that Nato doesn’t want to send fighters to patrol the frontline in Ukraine, there’s still the fact that the organization didn’t even protect international shipping lanes in the Black Sea against attacks, as they did against the Houthis. Even worse, they don’t even safeguard the borders of Nato members, like Romania and Poland, against intrusions by RuSSia! Not even one RuSSian drone or missile has been shot down by Nato, EVER! And that really goes too far, sends a clear signal of cowardice to Putin. 😠
Yes, Mr. Gray, NATO et al have not shined with fortitude, foresight, strength, or dignity. They are hypocrites, cowards, and two-faced.
Yeah, but they talk a good fight, and promise lots, but deliver very little.
