Russia will not be able to seize Kyiv or other parts of Ukraine, declared Z-writer Zakhar Prilepin. “There’s no talk of Kyiv or Odessa. But even if a miracle happened and we took Kyiv, as in the 17th century, that wouldn’t guarantee us that this problem wouldn’t end. It will always be there,” he said , answering questions from visitors to the Moscow International Book Fair, Sota noted. According to Prilepin, Ukraine “will never end,” and this is good for Russia, since through Ukraine, Russian statehood “will realize what form it’s in, good or bad.”
“You shouldn’t believe that you can seize something and then it’ll be covered in concrete. Of course not, even if we somehow rectify this situation now, which I don’t think anyone here seriously believes… Yeah, well, we’ll annex Donbas within six months to a year and report that it’s a huge, great victory, that this is exactly what we wanted,” the writer said during the presentation of his new book, “The ABCs of Intervention.” He also stated that the idea that Ukraine was “invented by Lenin” is false and that it’s being spread by “opponents.” President Vladimir Putin has previously voiced this theory repeatedly .
Prilepin stated that “any sane person” interested in the history of the “annexation of Little Russia and the Zaporizhian Sich” to Russia knows that the terms “Ukraine” and “State of Ukraine” already existed back then, and the inhabitants of these regions were called not “Russians” but “Cherkassians” or something else. The writer also asserts that for nearly four centuries now, “every 100 years, we have been settling our differences with them two or three times.”
“If we’re in good shape, we’ll take them in somewhere, resettle them in Kuban, cut their hair, and just make things okay, yeah. This is a normal task for Russia, because nothing ever lasts forever,” he said, comparing the “Ukrainian ‘problem'” to difficulties between relatives. “There’s nothing wrong with that. Well, yes, it would be better not to fight, of course, but as long as history exists, we’ll be caught up in that history. Just accept it as it is,” Prilepin said.
In June, it became known that the writer had been appointed vice-rector of the Mining Institute, tasked with overseeing ideological and educational work at the university, as well as “shaping the meaning” of its activities.
Prilepin should face the truth that mafia land .. or russia, as he calls his shithole, will soon end. It’s time to end was already due before this war started. Now, this war has moved its demise much closer to the near future than ever before.
