On the territory of the Sumy region, there are no longer settlements captured by the Russians, however, individual groups of enemy troops still remain in the region, and their cleansing is underway.

Accumulations of equipment and forces of the Russian Federation continue on the border from Russia, chairman of the Sumy OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky said on the air of a single information marathon, Ukrinform reports .

“At the moment there are no occupied settlements, the Russians have withdrawn the bulk of their equipment, armored vehicles, artillery outside the Sumy region to the territory of the Russian Federation. But there are still single units, small groups of Russian military – now they are being caught, killed by our Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Territorial Defense There is a cleansing of the entire territory of the region,” he said.

According to the head of the Sumy region, Ukrainian fighters found and eliminated several enemy units , selected captured equipment, including medical “Tiger”, “Typhoon”, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and the like.

“For the time being, we cannot say that the territory of the region is completely 100% liberated from Russian troops, but the main part has withdrawn,” Zhivitsky explained.
