Russia launched its full-scale invasion believing Ukraine would be defeated in days. Instead, Ukraine has held the line and grown stronger – while Russia has paid an enormous price in manpower, equipment, and international isolation.
The toll of Russia’s war is proof that its aggression does not come without consequences.

……..
Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the G7–Ukraine meeting, discussing next steps to support Ukraine with the leaders of France, the UK, Italy, Canada, Germany, the USA, Japan, the European Council, and the European Commission.
As Russia continues its attacks, it is essential that we sustain and scale up our support – from providing more air defence missiles and licences to produce them, to helping Ukraine get through another winter and increasing pressure on Russia.
The world must ensure Russia never succeeds in normalising its war against Ukraine.

🤝 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the first multilateral meeting today – the G7–Ukraine format at the G7 Summit.
💬 “I thank Emmanuel Macron, Mark Carney, Friedrich Merz, Giorgia Meloni, Sanae Takaichi, Keir Starmer, President Donald J. Trump, António Costa, and Ursula von der Leyen, for participating and for the strong ideas on how to force Russia into peace.
Priorities are clear: more air defense missiles along with licenses to produce them, winter support package, and cranking up pressure on Russia. Importantly, the U.S. is ready to provide backstop across these lines of effort.
It is key that everything discussed be implemented. Russia must come to learn that its war will never be normalized. I thank everyone who’s helping”, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed

As part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the G7 Summit in Évian, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Andrii Sybiha congratulated Secretary Rubio on the US agreement with Iran, expressing hope that it would contribute to regional security and greater stability in global energy markets. He also stressed that President Zelenskyy sees the development as an opportunity to reinvigorate US-led diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
“We discussed ways to advance the peace process. I shared Ukraine’s view of the steps needed to finally bring Putin to the negotiating table,” Andrii Sybiha stated. He also briefed Rubio on Russia’s recent attacks against civilian, cultural, and religious sites, including the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
In addition, he updated the US Secretary of State on Ukraine’s recent battlefield achievements and long-range sanctions against Russia, stressing that momentum toward peace can only be secured through strength.

Any U.S.–Iran peace framework should address one issue very clearly:
Iran’s supply of drones and weapons technology to Russia.
Iranian-designed Shahed drones have been used repeatedly by Russia against Ukrainian cities, infrastructure and civilians.
That support has helped prolong this tragic war and enabled Russia to continue attacking Ukraine with relative impunity.
A real peace agreement should not only address nuclear issues or regional stability but also interference in Ukraine.
It should require Iran to stop enabling Russia’s war machine.
No weapons.
No drones.
No technology transfer.
No support for attacks on civilians.
Peace cannot be selective.
If Iran wants the benefits of peace, sanctions relief, legitimacy and reintegration, then it must stop contributing to the destruction of Ukraine.
That should be a non-negotiable condition.

Russia is committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, crimes against Christianity itself, our collective history, not just the culture of Ukraine, and killing people in their own beds.
The world must react to defeat wanton evil. The United States must step up.
Russia must be defeated and held responsible for every war crime every crime against humanity.

A major milestone on Ukraine’s path to the EU was reached yesterday as the first negotiation cluster was officially opened for our country and Moldova.
💬 “This historic decision helps define what Europe will look like in the decades ahead and what kind of Europe we will leave to future generations,” Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has stressed.
Ukraine completed the EU screening process faster than any candidate country in the history of enlargement and have fulfilled the requirements to open all negotiating clusters. Our country is ready to move forward, and there is no objective reason for delays.
💬 “EU enlargement is not charity. It is an investment in a stronger, safer, and more resilient Europe. Europe that will be better equipped to defend itself against future threats,” Andrii Sybiha has stated. He thanked the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Commission, and all EU member states for their support.
Ukraine’s goal remains clear: to open all remaining clusters as soon as possible and continue steadily toward full EU membership 🇺🇦🇪🇺

On June 15, Ukraine hosted over 70 heads of diplomatic missions and international organisations at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which was hit during Russia’s overnight air attack.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Head of the National Commission for UNESCO Mariana Betsa took part in the briefing and visit that was organised by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Emergency Service.
During the attack, the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra – a UNESCO World Heritage site protected under the 1954 Hague Convention – was damaged, including the Dormition Cathedral that dates back to the 11th century.
💬 “Russia is committing cultural genocide in Ukraine. Tonight’s attack on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a blatant crime by the aggressor state. Russia must be held accountable for its horrific crimes against Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and our culture and identity. A terrorist state has no place in the UN or UNESCO,” stressed Mariana Betsa.
🔹 Ukraine also called for urgent action within the UN and UNESCO in response to Russia’s attacks on cultural heritage.
Participants also included Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy of Ukraine – Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna, leadership of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and representatives of the National Reserve “Kyiv Pechersk Lavra”.

For some additional perspective: Saint-Sophia Cathedral and its related monastic buildings and the monastic complex of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra UNESCO world heritage site is even older than Notre-Dame de Paris. Russia’s deliberate savage attack on this site is an attack on the heritage of humanity.
In the aftermath of another series of heinous Russian attacks on Ukraine, statements about “Russian desperation” abound…
But tell me, if Russia is today bombing civilians and cultural objects in Ukraine “out of desperation,” then what was Moscow doing in February 2022 when it starting bombing civilians and cultural objects in Kyiv and across the rest of free Ukraine? You know, when the West offered Kyiv to be a government in exile.🤔
If Russia is bombing cultural objects and heritage sites “out of desperation” today, then was “desperation” the motive as well when Russia was striking cultural objects like libraries, museums, and galleries in February, March, April 2022 when the West believed Kyiv would fall?
Russian attacks on civilians, critical infrastructure, and cultural objects are part of Russia’s objective of GENOCIDE. You don’t consistently attack museums, for example, “out of desperation” but to DESTROY OBJECTS OF NATIONAL IDENTITY!
Ukraine may have gained advantage on the battlefield recently, and the strikes on Russian oil refineries are great, but these advances have yet to definitively turn the war in Ukraine’s favour.
Do people even think when they make statements about Russian attacks?
If most experts, government officials, and media are to be believed Russian attacks are always “retaliatory,” “out of desperation,” or “to make sure Ukrainians can’t have what Russia cannot take.” Somehow, the goals of GENOCIDE and DESTRUCTION of the Ukrainian nation never are…
Ariana Gic :
State-sponsored assassination of a foreign head of state is considered an act of war under international relations and international law. It is a direct attack on a nation’s sovereignty and leadership. The UK should be ensuring Ukrainian victory over Russia at absolute minimum.
But Ukraine killing Putin is both lawful and necessary. The UK should be doing everything in its power to help Kyiv to that end.

Bang on the money.
And of course no commitment has been made to force the IranianaZis to stop this.
I’d guess that the commenter is an Iranian dissident.
If this world were a decent place, which it is not, then it would stand on Ukraine’s side and help it defeat the evil empire. Not even the United States is on the right side of history under the most evil, most corrupt, and stupidest president ever.
