The US President completely failed to deliver on his pledge to end the war in Ukraine. Because he has ignored the only logical path to peace: pressuring Russia.
By stopping military aid to Ukraine, he also successfully destroyed his own leverage over both the aggressor and the victim, turning his twenty-four-hour timeline into a pathetic cycle of adding two weeks over and over again.
Anyone who understands anything about foreign policy knew he would fail. Trump has avoided checking the actual aggressor, choosing instead to publicly insult and pressure the nation that was actually attacked.
His choice to invite Putin to Alaska was an absolute betrayal of human decency, giving a brutal invasion a stamp of international approval and legitimizing Moscow’s insane genocidal demands.
He stripped away any remaining American influence by cutting off weapons funding, leaving the US completely empty-handed at the negotiating table.
This raises a massive red flag about whether he is compromised or just actively rooting for a Russian victory.
His total inability to deliver on his promises needs to be highlighted a lot more often.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Trump’s nauseating obsequiousness toward Russia and his unforgivable betrayal of Ukraine proved an unexpected gift to Kyiv. By shedding the burden of Washington’s timidity, Ukraine gained the freedom to systematically strike deep into Russia and maul the energy infrastructure that finances Putin’s aggression.

The fact that the “lead negotiators” Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner have visited Moscow countless times, but have not stepped foot in Ukraine since the start of the war, speaks volumes. Nonetheless, Ukranian ingenuity, innovation, perseverance and Incomprehensible sacrifice are turning this war around. Slava Ukraini.
Zelensky a true democratic leader of his people with moral integrity, courage, honesty and values once again sits in the presence of a corrupt, incompetent, treasonous person of Zero moral character or integrity. This self serving American malignant narcissistic Autocrat will go down in history as the worst president in American history and the primary cause of the Democratic Demise of America on the World Stage.
His dislike of Ukraine stems from his first impeachment and their (justified) refusal to investigate Biden on illegitimate grounds. Poor Z never had a chance, sadly, to turn this around during Trumps second term. It’s been a mission of vindictiveness against anyone he perceives as having wronged him since day one. This is futile.
I think the US being an unreliable ally can have positive effects, namely (former) allies being more assertive in defending their national interests, without consulting with the US beforehand.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 The Kremlin has denied receiving any invitation for a Zelensky-Putin meeting at the G7 summit, despite Kyiv saying proposals were sent through multiple channels.
Moscow claims there are no official lines of communication with Ukraine and insists any future talks can only take place on Russia’s terms.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Monday that Ukraine had proposed a meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, or even in the U.S. He told reporters: “We gave message that we are ready to meet with Putin during G7, because Trump is there and Macron is there, so Europeans plus America”
A Ukrainian official said the proposal was “conveyed some time ago through various channels, via intermediaries, diplomats, and intelligence agencies”. Ukraine claims Europe and the U.S. agreed to the format.
The Kremlin hasn’t publicly confirmed receiving an invitation and Putin has repeatedly said he sees “no point” in a face-to-face meeting right now. At the St. Petersburg forum he called Zelenskiy’s open letter “boorish” and said it makes personal meetings impossible.
Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains that Russian forces are advancing and has demanded Ukraine cede further territory for peace. Moscow’s position is that talks would only happen on its terms, and it claims no clear response was given to Ukraine’s outreach. 🇺🇦🇷🇺
