Kirby said these are “different conflicts.”
The United States will not be involved in protecting Ukrainian airspace , as it did during Iran’s attack on Israel on April 14. This was stated by White House national security coordinator John Kirby.
“These are different conflicts. Different airspace. Different threat landscape. The President made it clear at the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine that the United States would not participate militarily in this conflict,” he emphasized during the briefing .
Kirby noted that the United States is providing assistance to Ukraine to protect the skies.
“We are providing Ukraine with the capabilities they need to help them protect their airspace. Unfortunately, we cannot do that now because we do not have the additional funding they so desperately need,” he concluded.

Russia and Ukraine share a border. There are other countries between Iran and Israel. That’s one big difference.
Ok, Larry, but Nato warships are operating in international waters around Yemen, shooting Houthi and Iranian drones and missiles down. In the same way, Nato fighter jets could operate over international waters in the Black Sea, destroying Russian airstrikes taking that way. The political reasoning would be the same, to safeguard shipping lanes. That only Israel gets such help, but not Ukraine, proves the hypocritical attitude of the involved countries. The double standard is obvious. 😕
Let’s not forget that the US has an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean, while Turkey controls access to the Black Sea, and all NATO forces are forbidden from entering while the war is going on.

Weak, weak leadership and even weaker defense of democratic values. Biden has single-handedly green lighted, russia, Iran, North Korea, China and other Terrorists and told them the USA would stand down while they practice their fascism. We will probably never know how much he got in bribes from them. How embarrassing.
Actually, it’s not really funny how badly the White House got its priorities wrong. It’s totalky lopsided to go all in for Netanyahu’s brutal campaign to make Gaza uninhabitable and drag the US into a badly timed war with Iran, while at the same time doing almost nothing anymore to help Ukraine defend against the much more strategically important Russian invasion. I usually don’t say it that openly, but Biden and his advicers are really idiots who should have no place in global politics. 👿

So, yet another ally of Israel who is making lame excuses as to why it’s not helping Ukraine protect its skies. Kirby failed to mention that the Biden Administration is too much of a coward to help Ukraine directly. It’s so brave to gang up on the mullah regime.
