The village of Soloviove turned into a “cemetery” of Russian armored vehicles

The Russian military has already lost more than two dozen armored vehicles with infantry near the village of Soloviove.
In early May, the Russian command set out to break through the Ukrainian military’s defenses near the village of Soloviove in the Donetsk region.
Soloviove is located in the Avdiivka direction, south of Ocheretyne. The settlement came under occupation in late April.
However, the Russian invaders cannot advance further than the village and are exposed to powerful attacks by the Ukrainian military.

This area is being defended by the 47th Mechanized Brigade, which has been repelling Russian assaults for almost the entire month of May.
The Russians form armored groups for assaults, which usually include a couple of tanks and several MT-LB armored personnel carriers with assault teams.
The Ukrainian military stops the invaders with artillery, drones, and sometimes US Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
Over the course of 20 days in May, the Ukrainian military released videos showing the destruction of more than 20 units of Russian equipment. T-72B3, T-80BV, T-90M Proryv tanks, BMP-1 and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, BTR-82A and MT-LB armored personnel carriers were destroyed.
Such Russian assaults were also accompanied by significant losses among the Russian military personnel.

The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade said on May 20 that the Russian invaders had recently conducted another two-stage assault near the village of Soloviove.
“Realizing that they would not be noticed due to the high winds, they planned to conduct reconnaissance by combat and distract themselves from the main attack. Thanks to the FPV drone operators and anti-tank teams, the Russian invaders said goodbye to their miserable lives,” the military said about the last assault.

The Russians struck again with tanks, covering the landing of their infantry. The Ukrainian soldiers first destroyed the equipment and then neutralized the Russian assault groups.
