On March 27, Ukrainian defenders thwarted an attempt by the Russian invaders to launch a massive assault in the Kupyansk direction . The enemy’s plans were thwarted by fighters of the 77th Separate Airmobile Naddnipryansk Brigade, who stopped the attack, destroying 12 armored vehicles and one tank of the invaders.
This was reported by the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia”. Ukrainian defenders also released a video of the battle.
According to the military, the enemy had been preparing for this assault for almost three weeks, accumulating equipment and personnel.
Launching the attack, the invaders used 13 units of armored vehicles, but did not achieve any results and did not move the front line even a centimeter, the report says.
The assault lasted four hours, from 06:00 to 10:00, during which Russian troops used artillery, mortars, multiple rocket launchers, aerial bombs, and kamikaze drones. Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks and prevented a breach of the front line.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Ukrainian border guards in the Kupyansk direction destroyed small assault groups of the invaders . As a result, the Russian army lost 27 people killed and wounded, four enemy shelters were also destroyed and a UAV control point was hit.
