The United States is preparing a $1 billion military aid package for Ukraine , which will be allocated from the yet to be signed Ukraine-Israel bill.

Reuters writes that the aid package includes vehicles, Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, additional ammunition for highly mobile artillery missile systems, 155mm artillery ammunition, TOW and Javelin anti-tank ammunition and other weapons that can be immediately used on the battlefield.

President Joe Biden has asked the US Congress to provide $60.8 billion in aid to Ukraine, but the initiative stalled when House Republicans refused to advance the measure for months.

On April 20, the US House of Representatives still  supported the provision of military assistance to the allies .

Even before the vote, the Pentagon said that they were preparing to quickly send  an arms package  to Ukraine if it was supported by the Senate and the President.

According to media reports, the White House is preparing to send Ukraine a larger than usual  package of military assistance , which will include artillery, air defense systems and armored vehicles.
