The US is currently an ally of Russia: expert on Washington’s reaction to the enemy’s violations

Dyky believes that an energy truce is vital for Russia.

Russia has violated the agreements on the energy truce , but there is no reaction from the United States. Military expert Yevhen Dykyi said this on the “Evening.LIVE” broadcast .

He notes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the US to respond to Russia’s violation of agreements, which hit the Kherson energy sector, but there has been no reaction.

“We should accept that the US is currently an ally of Russia. They don’t say this publicly, but all their actions indicate this. Therefore, there will be no reaction. But our reaction is absolutely unambiguous. Any agreement is valid as long as both sides adhere to it. If the Russian Federation has not kept the agreement on strikes on the energy sector for even three days, then our hands are tied and we have every right to strike at their oil refineries,” said Dyky.

He recalled that it was Russia that refused a complete truce for 30 days, but offered a very strange one, which includes actually unblocking their agricultural exports through the Black Sea, plus lifting sanctions on many agricultural companies and banks that serve them, and stopping attacks on the energy system.

“Why? Because it’s profitable for them, but not for us. Their attacks on Ukraine’s energy system are certainly painful, but for us it’s not critical. For us it’s not about losing the war, it’s just about money. And for the Russian Federation, oil refineries are everything. We are actually at war with a big crazy gas station,” the expert emphasized.

At the same time, Dikiy added that the Russian oil refining industry is both the only source of foreign exchange and the budget for this war.

“And besides, it’s fuel for the Russian army, so our strikes on their oil refineries are one of the best things we’ve learned to do in this war,” he said.

Dyky notes that the energy truce is completely asymmetric, because it is vitally necessary for Russia and not so necessary for us.

“We have already collapsed more than a quarter of their oil refining, and if we collapse it by more than half, it will practically lead to the collapse of their economy and an acute shortage of fuel for the army,” the expert notes.

He believes that the audacity of the Russians, when on the third day they brutally violated what they themselves demanded, gives Ukraine a free hand and this should be used to the fullest.

“We need to renew attacks on their energy sector, because this is one of the keys to our victory,” Dykyi emphasized.
