The US has become better at understanding Russia’s position on Ukraine, – Rubio

According to the US Secretary of State, this war has no military end.

The United States has gained a better understanding of Russia’s position on Ukraine after holding bilateral consultations, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with The Free Press .

“I would say that we have delved into Russia’s position. Now we understand it better, because we have truly talked to them after three years of silence,” the politician said.

The Secretary of State also does not lose hope that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia will be reached in the near future, because “this is a terrible war, and it must end because it has no military solution.”

“We’ve done everything we can. We’ve spent a lot of time and energy at the highest levels of our government. We’ll continue to do that as long as there’s a realistic path forward. If at some point we decide that we’re too far apart and not moving enough, we may have to move on to other priorities, because there are a lot of important things happening in the world,” Rubio said.

According to the politician, this is not a US war, but the country is trying to help end it.

“Maybe they are too far apart, but I hope not. We have to be optimistic. We have to be willing – as we are – to do everything we can to bring both sides closer together. I hope we can succeed, but ultimately it is not up to us. It is up to Russia and Ukraine. They have to decide that they want to get closer, and we have to start seeing progress,” the US Secretary of State emphasized.

Ukraine needs to be less russophobe and enter true negotioations, otherwise Ukraine will be fucked, and i don’t want that. Doesn’t mean to give Putler all he wants, but to be realistic
