The Ukrainian EOS SAT-1 satellite of the agro-oriented group EOS Data Analytics, launched on January 3 from the cosmodrome in the USA, came into contact, confirming the start of its work in orbit.
EOS Data Analytics reports this on its Facebook page , reports the National Industrial Portal with reference to Ukrinform .
“The launch of the satellite took place as part of the SpaceX Transporter-6 mission, and its delivery to low Earth orbit was carried out by a Falcon 9 rocket from the US Space Force base at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The satellite will help fight climate change and solve food problems,” the Noosphere Facebook page reminds.
The device was built and equipped with two high-precision DragonEye cameras of the Ukrainian-South African space optics manufacturer Dragonfly Aerospace, the satellite engine was developed by the Ukrainian company Space Electric Thruster Systems, and the Flight Control Propulsion company provided 3D printing of parts and the production of body elements.
Every day, EOS SAT-1 will monitor up to one million square kilometers of territory.

The launch of all EOS SAT satellites is planned to be completed by 2025. After that, the EOS SAT will observe areas of up to 12 million square kilometers daily and cover up to 100% of the countries with the largest area of agricultural land and forests, accounting for 98.5% of such land on the entire planet. With the help of EOS SAT, representatives of the agricultural industry will be able to: control the cultivation of crops, optimize the use of resources, check the effectiveness of new plant protection products and fertilizers, etc.
EOS Data Analytics was founded by Maxim Polyakov, an entrepreneur in the field of space technologies, in 2016.

That is also what I would call a satellite monitoring troop movements.
